your own mplayer for mpeg and avi

What do you need:
5 file to download


To start download the file's
mplayer-common-0.90rc2-1.i386.rpm
mplayer-0.90rc2-1.i386.rpm
mplayer-skin-default-1.5-1.noarch.rpm
mplayer-font-iso1-1.0-2.noarch.rpm
mplayer-gui-0.90rc2-1.i386.rpm

And save them on your computer.

(in text mode) Type
rpm -i mplayer-common-0.90rc2-1.i386.rpm
rpm -i mplayer-0.90rc2-1.i386.rpm
rpm -i mplayer-skin-default-1.5-1.noarch.rpm
rpm -i mplayer-font-iso1-1.0-2.noarch.rpm
rpm -i mplayer-gui-0.90rc2-1.i386.rpm

Now you my log off and on to startx and you will see that mplayer is somewhere in your menu.

Also you can try typeing mplayer in text mode it will start mplayer also. You find the start fill in /use/bin/ ther is the file mplayer.

Download them and save them to your hard disk unpack them and put the new map in the map /usr/share/mplayer/skin.

PROBLEMS


1- i use use mandrake 8.2 or higher and need a file libpng.so.2 and i can find it on de cd.
That's right. That file is on a mandrake 8.1 cd and not later. But you can click here to download it. It is file libpng2-1.0.12-2mdk.i586.rpm. Install it and your problem is solved
